Call for Tutorials
Having been established in 1999, the Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems (CHES) conference is the premier venue for research on both design and analysis of cryptographic hardware and software implementations. As an area conference of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), CHES bridges the cryptographic research and engineering communities, and attracts participants from academia, industry, government and beyond.

Following their success in previous events, the technical program at CHES 2026 will be supplemented by various additional activities. To this end, we invite proposals of interest for half-day in-person tutorial sessions to be held before the conference on Sunday, October 11, 2026:
- Tutorials can be viewed as a short-format version of IACR summer schools, delivered as a (series of) presentations and/or hands-on activity. For examples, see:
- Proposals are welcomed on any topic of broad interest to the CHES community: the stated topics of interest for CHES 2026 should not be interpreted as a limit.

The proposal should be a 1-page PDF clearly stating the following information:
- a title,
- one or more presenters, including names, affiliations, and email addresses,
- an abstract of up to 500 words,
- a statement of predicted audience demographic and size,
- a statement of any logistical requirements (e.g., room organization).

Proposals (or questions) should be submitted by email to
noting the following deadlines:
- Submission: 15 April 2026
- Notification: 30 April 2026
- One presenter from each of the accepted proposals will be offered a complimentary registration to CHES 2026, plus a fixed stipend toward their travel or logistics costs. Please note that tutorials will be held in person only on Sunday, October 11, 2026, without an online-participation option.
