Call for Affiliated Events

Call for Affiliated Events as PDF

The IACR is soliciting proposals for affiliated events to be held in conjunction with CHES 2025, on Sunday, September 14, in Kuala Lumpur. These events are expected to provide forums for discussing specific topics within the broad cryptographic domain, including theory, practice, implementation, and standardization. The format of each event (e.g., workshop, roundtable, etc.) is left to the discretion of the organizers.

Information to Submitters

Affiliated events may span either a half day or a full day. The primary limitation is room availability, as we aim to minimize the number of concurrent sessions. Proposal submitters are responsible for identifying a topic, deciding on the format, and, upon acceptance, coordinating the program and speakers. Each affiliated event will be provided with the following:

The registration fee for attendees of affiliated events will be managed through the CHES registration process and will cover venue costs, catering, and equipment. Participants registered for a specific day of workshops may attend any workshop scheduled on that day.

Additional costs, such as program expenses, reimbursements for invited speakers, or the printing of proceedings, are the responsibility of the individual event organizers. Organizers of accepted events are expected to maintain an up-to-date website with all relevant participant information. This website will be linked to the CHES 2025 website.

Please note that CHES has a separate call for tutorials, which will be selected by the program chairs. While affiliated events may include a tutorial component, standard CHES tutorials should be submitted through the dedicated tutorial call rather than this affiliated event call.

Submission Format for Affiliated Event Proposals

Proposals should be in PDF format and include the following information in the specified order:

  1. The name (and possible acronym) of the event.

  7. Estimated total number of attendees, including the anticipated number of student attendees.
  8. A brief biography for each organizer, describing qualifications such as research expertise and event organizing experience.

  10. Information about similar past events including attendance and organizational details, if available.
  11. A link to draft website, if available.

Proposals should be submitted as a single PDF file via email to:
