Conference Venue: Westin Peachtree Hotel
Because of a health hazard, the Sheraton Atlanta hotel has temporarily shut down. CHES 2019 will move to the nearby Westin Peachtree hotel. We have worked with the hotel for a plan to relocate CHES and move the attendees who have booked hotel rooms with Sheraton. Please see the guideline below. Rest assured that CHES 2019 will proceed as planned. Please continue to register.

On July 20, CHES announced a change of venue from the Sheraton Atlanta to the Westin Peachtree Plaza. Here is how the change of the venue may affect your booking:
- If you already made a booking at the Sheraton through the official CHES booking link, then you will be rebooked to the Westin Peachtree Plaza. The CHES General Chairs will contact you by email to clarify the rebooking procedure.
- If you already made a booking at the Sheraton through another source (such as an external booking site), then you may be able to request a refund for your room. You can book at the Westin Peachtree Plaza.

On Tuesday afternoon we will visit the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. Martin Luther King Junior was born in Atlanta and led a nonviolent movement in the late 1950's and 60's to achieve legal equality for African-Americans in the United States. The MLK Visitor Center features exhibits of nonviolent protest techniques as well as a movie theater with half hour films about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
